attacks

These are the magical attacks that Umi uses throughout the manga.

water dragon

First appearance in volume 2 In an effort to help Hikaru fight Alcione, Umi's heart grows stronger. She hears Guru Clef's voice coming from Mokona. Clef tells to her speak the words she feels in her heart. Water in the shape of a dragon spouts from Umi's fingertips and she directs the water dragon towards a target. Umi nearly kills Alcione with this attack.

azura hurricane

First appearance in volume 2 When the Knights are tested in the Fountain of Eterna in order to receive the Legendary Escudo, Umi learns this attack. Her heart grows stronger as she realizes that those she loved would never wish to hurt her. Azure Hurricane is another water oriented attack.

blue whirlwind

First appearance in volume 3 Umi uses this attack against all of Ascot's monsters in the water shrine. The attack resembles a water attack spiraling towards its target.

light spiral

First appearance in volume 3 This is a combined attack with Hikaru and Fuu, in the battle against high priest Zagato. Each of the Knight's symbols appears before them and a light shoots out from all three of the mashins.

ice sword

First appearance in volume 5 Lady Aska uses her magic to be able to control Umi and her mashin like a puppet. Umi uses Ice Sword to cut off the imaginary strings that attach her to Lady Aska's power.
