Information regarding the other two mashins in Magic Knight Rayearth.

rayearth

First appearance in volume 3 Rayearth is the most powerful mashin compared to Celes or Windam. He resides in the fire-shrine where Hikaru awakens him. He resembles a wolf, but is covered in fire. As a mashin, Rayearth is especially powerful with Hikaru controlling him.

windam

First appearance in volume 3 Windam is a huge green phoenix looking bird with two sets of wings. He is found at the wind-temple where Fuu proves her strength of heart.

ultimate

First appearance in volume 3 This mashin appears when all the mashins combine. It retains the color red corresponding Hikaru, has wings for Fuu, and has a dragon's tail representing Umi. The Ultimate mashin only appears twice through the entire manga, whenever the Knight's hearts are at their strongest.
