I have a facination with royal hierarchy, and personality, while reading novels I had quite a time trying to figure out which title had more power over others. Obviously you have your king and queen (such as Queen Serenity, King Endymion), but what about marquis, duke, archduke, baron, knights...?
I've also included the heirarchy based on the rank of angels/heaven that royalty was associated with.
Note that this includes Old English royalty as well as French.
| ANGELiC | ROYALTY (male) | ROYALTY (female) |
| seraphim | emperor | empress |
| cherubim | king | queen |
| - | viceroy | vicereine |
| - | grand duke | grand duchess |
| - | archduke | archduchess |
| thrones | prince | princess |
| dominations | duke | duchess |
| virtues | marquis | marchioness |
| powers | earl/count | countess |
| principalities | viscount (vice count) | viscountess (vice countess) |
| archangels | baron | baroness |
| angels | knight | lady knight |
| saints | commoners | - |
